Tofu Chilli and Egg Fried Rice How to make tofu taste more edible is a question I am often asked in my cooking workshops. Tofu is like a blank canvas. Good tofu, that is. Good tofu is clean tasting, with no flavour of its own. Marinate it in a good dressing and it will behave like a most obedient
In the quest to get you some authentic and yet somewhat lesser known recipes from Karnataka, this one is a flat beans curry. I cannot be a self respecting food blogger and not post a pumpkin recipe for that time of the year when pumpkins are omnipresent on the internet. Actually, I didn’t even realise this when I made this stew for dinner. Indians don’t need a time of the year to use pumpkin. It is cooked round the year i
So I was up early this morning (if you consider 6.15 am early for a Sunday morning). I was going to have some relatives over and I had no clue what to cook, except for the fresh vegetables and ingredients I had for inspiration. Since ‘what to cook’ and ‘how to plan the menu’ is pretty much the bigge
Last Saturday, I looked at my dinner plate and I felt “Damn, it should be illegal to eat this healthy on a Saturday night.” Yes it was so good that it was bad. And we were watching a brilliant brilliant series to add all the necessary wickedness and spice to this healthy plate. You may think food bl
