VARIATIONS:
Instead of bottle gourd, grated zucchini, finely chopped spinach, coriander or fenugreek leaves, all make good substitutes.
You can also substitute part of the chickpea flour with rice flour or sorghum (jowar) flour for a slightly crisper texture.
